On 5 Feburary 2019, on the first lunar new moon for 2019, the Chinese new year takes place, and the new energy and fresh vibe for 2019 finally arrives.  For many people January never really feels like a new year yet, it's still too similar to December, and the energy of 2018 has not fully dissipated yet! I  strongly encourage my clients to book their next appointment with me BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE SALON to ensure that they have their preferred appointment spot in the future. This is especially true if you can only see me on a Saturday or any other specific time of the week. Please don't leave making your appointment to the last minute,  as the situation in my business has changed considerably since last year, and I am less likely to be able to fit you in at short notice. I find it distressing to not be able to fit you in, and even more distressing if you have to go to another stylist for your hair services simply because of poor planning! I am also looking for an hairstylist assistant that can begin to assist me on Saturdays. I prefer a full time hairdressing student who will attend college during the week and who is interested to start working on their informal hours and portfolio of evidence with me. This way I  will be able to hire them as a casual employee and can step around official red tape with the Bargaining Council... at least until such time as the student has completed their studies and I am ready to employ an assistant full time.
